Frequently Asked Questions

LabRF is a virtual training platform designed to simulate tactical radio systems, MANETs, and mission-critical communications — without requiring physical hardware.
LabRF is built for operators, instructors, system engineers, and organizations that need realistic, scalable radio training environments. During our beta period, registration is limited to .mil and .gov email addresses.
LabRF uses a plug-in model. Each vendor plug-in is $35/month or $400/annually. Standard tier loads one plug-in at a time on your canvas — you can own multiple and swap between them anytime. Start with a free 30-day trial using our ACME demo radio, then request access to real vendor plug-ins when you're ready. A .mil or .gov email address is required to register during the beta period. LabRF Premium (coming soon) will let you load multiple plug-ins on a single canvas simultaneously.
Vendor plug-ins simulate real tactical radio systems and are subject to export compliance and vendor licensing requirements. The access request process lets each vendor verify that your use case meets their policies. Once approved, you'll receive a checkout link to complete payment — you're never charged until a vendor has approved your request.
Each vendor plug-in is a modeled radio ecosystem aligned to a specific manufacturer's interfaces and behaviors. You can request access to as many plug-ins as you need — Standard loads one at a time on your canvas, while Premium lets you run multiple plug-ins on a single canvas simultaneously.
No. LabRF is entirely device-free, simulating radio systems in software. You only need a Windows computer and internet connection.
Access to simulated radio environments, structured labs, vendor-aligned interfaces, and evolving capability updates.
Access requests are typically processed within 5–15 business days depending on the vendor. In the meantime, every new account includes the ACME demo plug-in for 30 days — so you can explore the platform and get comfortable while your vendor request is reviewed. If you already have an account with the vendor, include your account details in the request form — this may help speed up the review.
You'll receive an email with a link to complete payment. Once payment is confirmed, your plug-in license becomes available for download in your dashboard. You're never charged until a vendor has approved your request.
Yes. When submitting an access request, you can indicate that you have an existing account with the vendor and provide your account ID or email. This helps the vendor cross-reference your existing relationship and may expedite approval.
Yes. You can request access to additional vendor plug-ins and custom training modules. For advanced needs like SSO or dedicated support, contact sales@labrf.com.
Yes. You can request access to additional vendor plug-ins anytime and swap between them on your canvas. LabRF-controlled upgrades like Premium are available immediately through Stripe Checkout — no approval process needed. All subscriptions are managed from your account portal.
LabRF focuses on training realism through configuration logic, network behavior, and interface workflows rather than RF propagation modeling.
You can cancel anytime through your account portal or by contacting support@labrf.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.
LabRF currently supports Windows environments, with future platform expansion under consideration.
Most users complete vendor-specific training in 2-4 weeks using our structured labs. The device-free environment lets you learn at your own pace without equipment constraints.
Each subscription is designed for individual use. For team training, we offer multi-seat licenses—contact sales@labrf.com for details.
Yes. Organizations training 10+ users or requiring 3+ vendor platforms qualify for volume pricing. Contact sales@labrf.com for a custom quote.
All users are automatically subscribed to our newsletter. You can manage your subscription preferences in your dashboard. We'll notify you when new vendor plug-ins and LabRF Premium become available.
